About Us

Basics

Christ our Redeemer Community Church is a community of people united by faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to follow Him together. Our church community is built on the foundation of God’s grace in the gospel, as it is revealed through the Scriptures. We affirm alongside the global and historical church the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We seek to be grounded and growing in the truth of God’s Word, while also being committed to engaging in Christ’s mission in the world. We trust in Jesus as our Savior, and we are committed to Jesus as our King. Our purpose is to respond to Jesus’ call by loving one another, and by being his hands, heart, and feet in the city of Roanoke as we love our neighbors.

Christ our Redeemer began meeting to worship together in 2007 in an auditorium at the Rehab Center of Carillion Memorial Hospital at the corner of McClanahan and Jefferson Street. For the last 15 years, we have worshipped together in Fitzpatrick Hall at the Jefferson Center, five blocks from City Center. We are committed to seeking the flourishing of our city and loving our neighbors, as we recognize the Kingship of Jesus.
